• Pretty Decent Weekend - Fun with the kids

  Only bad part of the weekend was on Friday. While J and I scrambled around with last minute details for a last minute Birthday party for his now 10 year old daughter my youngest hurt herself. Guests were due to arrive at 5pm and Maddi hurt her foot at 4:45. So it was off to the emergency room for me! She screamed bloody murder all the way there. I thought surely she had broken her foot. She did not thank God, but she had removed several layers of flesh from the right side of her right foot when she fell off a bike and got her foot caught in the spokes. Thank god she had shoes on even if they were only crocs. Shoe was destroyed but saved her toes from being mangled.

   was pretty freaked out. Ann came to the hospital which helped calm me
  down. And then my ex hubby' son showed up cause he thought I was alone.
  Very sweet! He made Maddi feel better too. Nice distraction.

  By the time we got home most of the guests had left - I missed all the excitement. Figures...

  Saturday
  we went to the American Royal BBQ with the kids. I had to carry Maddi a
  lot of the time because in all our brilliance we forgot a stroller. She
  did walk some but her foot was pretty stiff and I knew it hurt.
  However, when she saw the blow up jumpy things (like a moon walk) she
  was suddenly healed and jumped and jumped. lol. Little drama queen. J's
  kids had an great time too. We lost J a few times but he tends to
  wander off and do his own thing. So we did our own thing and had some
  fun.

  The tallman really had the kids going. They all ended up in that lasso together.
  

  This is what the KC police are driving around now.

  Yesterday
  we went to the farm and took the kids 4-wheeling in the mud and rain.
  Way fun! They had a blast. We were all over that 80 acres. Maddi and CJ
  love it out there - heck we all do. It is his dads farm but J runs his
  business out of it so we go out there while we works sometimes.
  Yesterday he played with us.

  Last evening my ex hubby's kids came over with their new puppy. She is soooo cute. Ann will love these pics!

  Puppy's name is Saint. Maddi kept calling her "Sink" - it was very funny!

  Last
  night when J got home (he had to go work for a few hours in the
  evening) he climbed into bed with me and held me very tight. He seemed
  rather emotional and I swear he was trying not to cry. He would not
  open up to what ever it was that was bugging him but did tell me how
  important I am to him and how much he loves this or that about me. He
  held me so tight and curled around my body. His head was on my side and
  I rubbed his head relaxing him. He moved and looked at me. Just looked
  and his eyes were so gentle and full of emotion. When I asked what was
  wrong he shrugged it off. But he did say something startling. "I love
  so many things about you."

  I will leave it at that. More progress.
